Leverage the power of Instagram for business with the official GulliverCRM and Instagram integration. No more risks or "gray" integrations. Exchange text messages and photos seamlessly. GulliverCRM complies with all platform requirements and limitations, ensuring stable operation without risks to your account.
Important Limitations
Currently, Instagram imposes restrictions on which accounts can use this integration:
- Only Business Accounts can be connected.
- Your Instagram profile must be converted to a Business Account.
- Learn how to switch from a personal account here.
Setting Up the Integration
- Go to Settings → Apps → Integrations → Add Integration.
- Select Instagram and click "Add".
- Click "Authorize with Instagram".
- A login window will appear—enter your Instagram credentials and grant permissions by clicking "Allow".
- Done! The integration will appear in your integrations list.
How the Integration Works
- A customer visits your Instagram Business profile.
- Clicks "Message".
- Their message syncs to GulliverCRM, where you can respond and manage the conversation.
- GulliverCRM pulls publicly available user data (based on their privacy settings).
- Outgoing messages sent directly from Instagram (not GulliverCRM) will also sync to GulliverCRM.
Messaging Restrictions
Instagram enforces the following limitations:
- 24-Hour Rule:
- If a user hasn’t messaged you in 24+ hours, you can only reply using a tagged message (e.g., a paid promotion label).
- Extended 7-Day Window:
- Our app is Meta-verified (Facebook/Instagram) and has human_agent approval, extending the reply window to 7 days.
- After 7 days of inactivity, the thread locks, blocking further automated/integrated messaging.
- 7+ Days:
- If a user hasn’t messaged in 7+ days, you cannot initiate a new message via integration.
